The Embrace

The Embrace

Natural Pigment on canvas with bronze powder. 'The Embrace' is the start of a small series that I have begun capturing the tender moments in our lives. The theme for these is around self love and how compassion creates space for growth and expansion.

“My heavy paws thumped on the ground with the weight of the bear,

 

The hair on my back flew forwards in the wind like a flying wolf,

 

My nose travelled across the ground like the wild pig,

 

The skin on my belly crawled the earth with the pace of a vicious snake,

 

And all this time, I carried on running,

 

Without thought, and only a slight memory and recognition of being.”​
